EmerLink SAT is a fully autonomous mobile satellite station for transmitting video and data in the Ka-band, adapted to the use of the resource of domestic spacecraft Express AM5 and AM6, covering the entire territory of the Russian Federation from west to east. In addition to the small size and weight, allowing the EmerLink SAT to be placed in one case, this system is self-powered and deployed by one person without special training for a time not exceeding 2-3 minutes. Key features of Ka-Sat technology:
Ka-Sat – Ka-band communications satellite located in geostationary orbit at a standing point of 9 degrees east longitude.
Satellite capacity – 82 point beams at 237 MHz, with a bandwidth of 45 Mbit / s each, forming the coverage area of theKa-Sat satellite, exciting all of Europe, parts of the Middle East, Ukraine and several regions in Russia such as Moscow, Kaluga, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Tula, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Tambov, Ryazan, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Pskov, Leningrad, Smolensk, Belgorod, Murmansk, Rostov, Saratov, Penza, Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Karelia, the Republic of Crimea, and covers part of such areas as Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Tver, Arkhangelsk, Chechen, Astrakhan, as well as the Republic of Kalmykia, the Republic of Dagestan, the Republic of Adygea
The Russian analogue is Express-AM5 satellites (Coverage Area – Far East) and Express-AM6 (Coverage Area – European and Central Russia) launched into orbit at the end of this year.
